Singapore MRT:
The Singapore MRT network is made up of 5 active lines, an additional one is under construction. They serve most of the important and touristic places of Singapore, such as the Singapore Flyer and Changi Airport. Around 1000 million passengers ride the Singapore MRT, making it as busy as the Delhi Metro.
Singapore MRT Lines:
• North South Line
The North South Line runs from Jurong East, in Western Singapore to Marina South Pier station, located in the Central Area. Also known as NSL, the North South Line is labelled with the red color on the metro map.
• East West Line
The East West Line operates between Pasir Ris, in the east, and Tuas Link in Western Singapore. It is the Green line on the map, also known as EWL.
• Circle Line
The Circle Line runs from Marina Bay and Dhoby Ghaut stations to HarbourFront. A shuttle service operates between Marina Bay and Stadium during off-peak hours. The Circle Line is labelled with the yellow color on the metro map, and is also called CCL.
• North East Line
The North East Line operates from HarbourFront in south-western Singapore to Punggol station in the north-east. The North East Line can be recognized on the subway map with its purple color. It is also known as NEL.
• Downtown Line
The Downtown Line runs from the Bukit Panjang station in the north-west to Expo in eastern Singapore. It is also known as the Blue Line, or DTL.
